Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the two fighters met personally to build hype for the upcoming bout.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Fighter's Mindset
"I plan to injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Paul rather attacked ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted UK opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or declining opponents since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Still, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, regularly earning massive earnings.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly being planned for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
